Firearms produced during home invasion in North Ryde

An investigation is underway following a home invasion in North Ryde during the early hours this morning.

About 3.20am (Saturday 2 February 2019), two men, both armed with handguns, entered a unit in Network Place, North Ryde, and threatened two occupants who were asleep inside.

The men, who had their faces covered with black balaclavas, demanded money and property from the occupants before ransacking the unit and leaving with a safe.

The occupants, including a man aged 20 and two women aged 18 and 27, as well as a 2-year-old child were not injured during the incident.

Officers from Ryde Police Area Command have commenced inquiries and are seeking anyone with information that may be able to assist.

Police believe the intruders were driving a red Audi station wagon just prior to entering the unit complex on Network Place.
