A first constable from Eastern Region has been charged following an internal investigation.
The male officer has been charged with two counts of destruction of evidence.
It is alleged the member, who was on duty at the time, destroyed evidence in January and May last year.
The 26-year-old has been charged on summonsed to appear at a court at a later date.
