Five youths were arrested after they were allegedly found running from a stolen car at Modbury this morning.
A patrol was in the Modbury area when a carload of youths abandoned a red SUV on McIntyre Road, Modbury and ran off just before 4.30am on Thursday 4 June.
Patrols, with the assistance of Police Dog Bomber, quickly located all five suspects in a nearby reserve and arrested them.
The owner of the red SUV was contacted by police and confirmed the car had been stolen from Ingle Farm earlier in the night.
A 15-year-old Craigmore boy, a 15-year-old Edwardstown boy, a 15-year-old Para Hills boy, a 16-year-old North Haven girl, a 17-year-old Sellicks Beach boy were all charged with illegal use. They were bailed to appear in the Elizabeth Youth Court on 17 July.
