Football word in Camden

0Z1A9560

It’s time to celebrate football this month with the start of Macarthur FC’s second A-League campaign coinciding with the first birthday of Camden’s first synthetic football field at Nott Oval in Narellan.

The synthetic football field has become a popular facility for many football players in the Camden area, hosting many games throughout the year.

The facility allows for football to be played all year round, with works completed last year including:

  • The upgrading of the existing parking facilities;
  • Field marking, to accommodate winter and summer football competitions;
  • Reserve bench booths; and
  • Completed landscaping, fencing and footpath works.

The venue was one of many which residents enjoyed over the last 12 months, particularly while finding a place to enjoy fresh air and exercise during a challenging year.

The $2.8 million project was funded by Camden Council and the Australian and NSW governments through the Western Sydney City Deal’s Western Parkland City Liveability Fund.
