FOSSIL MAKES ITS RETURN TO SWISS WATCHMAKING WITH THE LAUNCH OF SIGNATURE CS-1 IN AUSTRALIA

Sydney, Australia – 21 October 2026- FOSSIL has introduced its new Swiss-made Signature CS-1 collection to Australia, marking the debut of the brand’s premium watch platform.

Building on more than 40 years of dedication to the craft of watchmaking, Signature combines FOSSIL’s distinctive optimism and storytelling with elevated materials, precision engineering and Swiss watchmaking.

CS-1 stands for Case Study One, the first expression of the Signature platform. The name nods to the mid-century Case Study Houses program in California and its collaborative, forward-looking approach to design. Rather than referencing a specific house or architect, the collection draws from its broader principles: purposeful design, material integrity and the belief that every element should contribute to the whole.

Signature CS-1 also marks a return to Swiss watchmaking for FOSSIL, building on more than two decades of the company’s presence and expertise in Switzerland. FOSSIL Group established its presence in Biel/Bienne in 2002 through Montres Antima and today continues itsSwiss watch development alongside its European headquarters in Basel. Each Signature CS-1 timepiece meets the Swiss Made standard through its movement, assembly in Switzerland and the standards of construction behind the designation.

“Every element of Signature CS-1 has been designed with intention,” said Melissa Lowenkron, Chief Brand Officer of FOSSIL. “From the movement and materials to the finishing, packaging, and smallest considered details. The collection reflects our belief that exceptional design is found not in excess, but in thoughtful restraint and should be appreciated for years to come.”

Signature CS-1 launches with two distinct styles: the Three-Hand Date Automatic and the Master Calendar Chronoquartz, with prices starting at $1,469 for the Three-Hand Date Automatic and $1,299 for the Master Calendar Chronoquartz.

The 38mm Three-Hand Date Automatic features a Swiss Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement and an exhibition caseback showcasing a custom Signature rotor. Its streamlined dial includes a sweeping seconds hand, faceted diamond markers and a finely grooved, record-inspired texture. Select styles feature a stainless steel bracelet with self-adjustable links and a double-press butterfly deployant buckle.

The 42mm Master Calendar Chronoquartz is powered by a Swiss Ronda 5040.F movement and combines day, date, month and chronograph functions within a balanced, highly legible display. Recessed subdials, a contrasting dial ring, record-inspired texture and colour-lined top pusher bring depth and distinction to the design. A minted caseback finished with a plated Triple Diamond Quality insignia completes the timepiece.

Across both models, no detail has been overlooked. Domed sapphire crystals provide clarity and durability, while premium Italian leather straps and FOSSIL’s subtle Triple Diamond Quality insignia, a nod to the brand’s heritage, bring refinement throughout. The same attention extends to the packaging, with a re-imagined collectable watch tin inspired by mid-century cigar cases and presented inside an elevated black outer box.

“CS-1 came together when we began treating the movement, case, dial, colour and finishing as one cohesive design system,” said Ryan White, Senior Creative Director of FOSSIL Brand Global Watch Design.

“Our designers, engineers, product teams and Swiss partners each contributed to a shared vision that feels purposeful, enduring and distinctly FOSSIL”

“Its purposeful proportions, restrained colour and thoughtful details introduce a premium design language that carries FOSSIL’s personality forward through Swiss craftsmanship.”

The FOSSIL Signature CS-1 collection is available now in Australia at Fossil.com and select FOSSIL retail stores.
