Four injured after crash at Onkaparinga Hills, South Australia

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a crash overnight at Onkaparinga Hills.

Just before 9pm, Friday 10 June, patrols and emergency crews were called to Piggott Range Road, after reports a Holden station wagon had left the road and crashed into a tree. The car caught fire but thankfully the four occupants were able to escape before the fire took hold.

The driver, an 18-year-old woman from Noarlunga Downs along with her three passengers, a 14-year-old boy from Noarlunga Downs, a 22-year-old man from Oaklands Park and a 50-year-old from Port Noarlunga, were all taken to the Flinders Medical Centre with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The Holden, which was significantly damaged, was towed from the scene.

Investigations are continuing following reports the driver of the Holden was allegedly street racing with another vehicle, possibly a Ford sedan, prior to the crash.
