  • Attendees of EverNow event next week able to travel free on public transport network
  • EverNow running from 4 to 9 October during school holidays
  • Free festival to celebrate WA’s unique nature and captures key elements of song, fire and light

Western Australians heading to the Cook Government’s new homegrown festival EverNow next week will be able to access free public transport to and from the event, making it more accessible for people to attend.

EverNow will run from 4 to 9 October 2023, and welcome mass audiences to a series of unique free events at the Supreme Court Gardens, Perth’s Government House Gardens and Kings Park.

The multi-sensory festival draws inspiration from WA’s rich biodiversity, creativity and our First Nations people’s enduring connection to the land.

Three events capturing different elements of song, fire and light will run throughout next week:

  • Song Circle: Supreme Court Gardens 4 to 8 October 2023;
  • Fire Gardens: Government House Gardens 5 to 8 October 2023; and
  • Boorna Waanginy: The Trees Speak: Kings Park 6 to 9 October 2023.

The Fire Gardens event will be free for attendees but requires a ticket to gain entry, and this ticket will also be required to access free public transport.

As stated by Transport Minister Rita Saffioti:

“We want as many people and families to be able to attend this event during the October school holidays, which is why I’m really pleased that we’re able to provide free public transport for people attending.

“EverNow will add a new dimension to our major events calendar, showcasing the unique attributes of our State and celebrating our rich Indigenous culture and heritage.

“Having major events unique to WA helps create a key selling point for visitors to come to our State, explore beyond the city limits and experience all of our tourism attractions.”
