Front row seat to new book titles

Book lovers in the City of Logan can hear from two Australian authors during October.

Logan Libraries will host author talks by award-winning crime author Chris Hammer and actor-turned-writer Judy Nunn.

Chris Hammer will be available on Zoom from 6pm to 7pm on Wednesday, October 20.

Judy Nunn will be online from 11am to noon on Monday, October 25.

Mr Hammer, a former journalist, is the author of the international bestsellers Scrublands, Silver and Trust.

His latest novel Treasure and Dirt is set in Australian outback opal country.

Hosted in partnership with OverDrive, he will be joined by Brisbane author Ben Hobson for his Logan Libraries’ discussion.

During her session Ms Nunn will share the details of her latest novel Showtime! which tells the story of the golden age of Australian show business from England’s cotton mills to Melbourne’s theatres.

Ms Nunn was made a Member of the Order of Australia in 2015 for her significant service to literature as an author and also the performing arts as a scriptwriter and actor.

She has sold more than one million books in Australia.
