Further charges laid by Strike Force Guard investigators, NSW

Two women have been charged by Strike Force Guard investigators today.

About 8am (Wednesday 29 June 2022), police attended an address in Fitzroy Street, Surry Hills, and arrested a 34-year-old woman.

She was taken to Surry Hills Police Station where she was charged with pedestrian obstruct driver’s/other pedestrian’s path, resist or hinder police officer in the execution of duty and enter Sydney Harbour Bridge etc disrupt etc vehicles etc.

She was refused bail and appeared before Central Local Court the same day. She was given conditional bail to reappear before the Downing Centre Local Court on Thursday 21 July 2022.

About 1pm today (Wednesday 29 June 2022), police attended Turrella Reserve at Earlwood after a group had gathered at the park.

The group dispersed when police arrived.

A short time later, officers were conducting further patrols of the area when they stopped a vehicle and arrested a woman in relation to an alleged breach of bail offence.

The 22-year-old was taken to Newtown Police Station where she was charged with a detention application – arrest.

She was refused bail to appear at Newtown Local Court tomorrow (Thursday 30 June 2022).
