Further charges laid over alleged historical sexual and physical assaults

A member of the Comanchero outlaw motorcycle gang (OMCG) will appear in court today charged over alleged historical sexual and physical assaults, following an investigation by Hawkesbury detectives.

In October 2022, officers from Hawkesbury Police Area Command established Strike Force Muecke to investigate reports a 29-year-old woman was alleged sexually assaulted between 2017 and 2021.

As part of ongoing investigations, strike force detectives spoke with a further two women – aged 19 and 39.

A 60-year-old man – known to the women – has since been charged by detectives and remains before the court.

Strike force detectives have since spoken to a 27-year-old woman.

Following subsequent inquiries, investigators attended a correctional facility at Silverwater yesterday (Monday 28 August 2023) and spoke to a 60-year-old man.

He was charged with aggravated sexual assault – inflict actual bodily harm on victim, two counts of special aggravated break and enter and commit serious indictable offence-weapon, two counts of common assault, and attempt to cause grievous bodily harm to person with intent.

Police will allege in court that the man – who is known to the woman – sexually assaulted the woman in May 2017 and physically assaulted her in June 2020 during a break in at her home.

The man was remanded in custody and is next due to appear at Penrith Local Court today (Tuesday 29 August 2023).

Investigations under Strike Force Muecke continue.
