The City welcomes further easing of COVID-19 restrictions announced today for regional Victoria.
City officers will work quickly to assess the changes to restrictions for indoor gyms and fitness spaces, indoor pools and indoor non-contact sport and the impact on our community and relevant City operations and services.
Work is already underway on the operational requirements to safely re-open indoor pools to young swimmers, which was announced last week, and the City will now look to implement the further changes to permitted indoor pool activity outlined today.
An opening date for the City’s indoor Swim, Sport and Leisure centres will be announced soon.
As restrictions in regional Victoria continue to ease, the City urges community members to continue to adhere to restrictions and maintain a distance of 1.5 metres from others, wear a face mask when leaving home and to practise good hygiene.
