The Awards for Excellence is a nationally recognised, independently judged program that celebrates outstanding service and culinary talent across both QLD and the NT. The Awards are judged by an independent team of trained judges who anonymously visit the venues to determine the restaurant/café winners. The scores are based on the entire dining experience from food to the customer service.

Gabbinbar Homestead will finish the year on a high as the caterer for the 70th Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers Gala Dinner – in collaboration with East Street Kitchen.

The unique culinary experience will see head chefs, Bernhard Kohlhuber of Gabbinbar Homestead and Penny Hely of East Street Kitchen, work together to create a menu inspired by the Darling Downs reputation for country hospitality and world-class produce.

“We are really excited about our collaboration with East Street Kitchen for this year’s Qantas Gala Dinner. We share a vision to educate our guests about what our region has to offer, about sustainability and celebrating local produce,” says Bernhard Kohlhuber, Head Chef of Gabbinbar Homestead.
