Gerard Bradley to step down as QTC Chair

Queensland Treasurer and Minister for Trade and Investment Cameron Dick has thanked Gerard Bradley AO for contribution to Queensland and the State’s on-going economic strength.

Mr Bradley, a former State Under Treasurer, steps down after 10 years as the Queensland Treasury Corporation Chair.

“Gerard has given virtually all of his working life to building a better Queensland and we are most grateful for his contribution,” the Treasurer said.

“He’s risen to be a giant of the State’s bureaucracy and business world and Gerard’s efforts for modern Queensland are unmatched.”

“So many major investment decisions by the State Government across the past 40 years have been either signed-off or reviewed by Gerard.

“His contribution to Queensland is very significant.”

Mr Bradley, a University of Queensland commerce graduate, was made an Officer of the Order of Australia (AO) in the 2021 for distinguished service to public administration, to economic policy, and to the community of Queensland.

“Gerard is renowned across the public sector for his intellect, his strategy and his gracious manner.

“Gerard has given six months’ notice of his intention to retire, enabling the Government time to secure a suitable replacement.

“We extend Gerard best wishes upon his retirement from QTC.”
