Kiama Council is once again providing funding support for the traditional Gerringong Christmas Parade on Saturday 18 December 2021.
The Gerringong Christmas Parade has a long history and is a highlight of our community calendar.
The parade features around 50 floats by service and sporting clubs, community groups, vintage car clubs and local businesses.
It attracts crowds of between 3,000 – 5,000.
Council’s support involves a $1,000 contribution to help with traffic management as well as waiving relevant council fees.
The parade starts at 10am.
Between 8.30am and 11am there will be a number of roads closed and detours in place to enable to parade to be held safely:
• Blackwood St – Michael Cronin Oval carpark entrance to Fern St
• Belinda St – Coal St to Greta St
• Fern St – Jupiter St to Bridges Rd
• Greta St – Belinda St to Blackwood St
• Myamba St and Noble St
