Hard working South Australian families and businesses are cashing in on the Marshall Liberal Government’s record $16.7 billion infrastructure spend.
SA business, Load 28, has invested in a new top-of-the-line crane to support the abundance of projects underway and in the pipeline right across the state.
Minister for Infrastructure and Transport, Corey Wingard, said it’s great to see an SA family-owned business benefiting from the opportunities on offer.
“The Marshall Liberal Government’s record investment in infrastructure is all about building what matters for South Australians and creating jobs.
“Important infrastructure projects across SA are also supporting local businesses, like Load 28, to offer stability to their workforce and grow confidence as we deal with the greatest economic challenge of our time.
“As we continue to navigate our way through the unprecedented challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, now more than ever, construction work is proving vital to our state’s prosperity.
“Creating jobs is critical to our economic recovery and we’re delivering more than 19,000 through our record investment in infrastructure projects alone.
“It’s fantastic to be able to support local, family-owned businesses though our major infrastructure projects and with our historic investment in infrastructure continuing to roll out across the state there’s plenty of work for companies like Load 28 up for grabs.”
Load 28 Operations Manager, Marcus Rigney, says although COVID caused concern for local business, the state government’s stimulus response has created opportunities.
“We took the leap in May 2020, crossed our fingers and ordered equipment that would be able to service these projects,” Mr Rigney said.
“We received the equipment in October and decided that we wanted to brand the machine as a proud SA crane with iconic livery.
“Since late October we’ve completed work on projects like the Mitsubishi Head Office, Festival Plaza, Adelaide Airport and we’re currently on site at Unley High School.
“We are ready to continue to build South Australia in our business with our drive and determination.”
