Gillies Range, Little Mulgrave – grass fire 2 October

Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) and Rural Fire Service (RFS) crews are in attendance at a grass fire burning in inaccessible land at the bottom of the Gillies Range, Little Mulgrave. Crews have contained the fire but there is still a lot of smoke being produced at the bottom of the Gillies Range, which may be visible to motorists. The fire is posing no threat to property at this time. Nearby residents may be affected by smoke haze. Residents are asked to close windows and doors and if suffering from a respiratory condition, keep medications close by. Motorists should drive with caution and to conditions. If residents are concerned their property is under threat, they are advised to call Triple Zero (000) immediately.
