Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) advises there is a grass fire burning in inaccessible land at the bottom of the Gillies Range, Little Mulgrave. The fire has been contained however thick smoke is being pushed towards Gordonvale and may also be visible to motorists and residents in the vicinity of Gillies Range Road and Roos Road. The fire is posing no threat to property at this time. Residents are asked to close windows and doors and if suffering from a respiratory condition, keep medications close by. Motorists should drive with caution and to conditions. If residents are concerned their property is under threat, they are advised to call Triple Zero (000) immediately.
