Glenwynn Fatal Crash

Major Crash Investigators are seeking information regarding a fatal crash in Glenlynn (near Bridgetown) yesterday morning, Saturday 15 February 2020.

About 11:30am a Holden Astra hatch was being driven south on South Western Highway, when about 300m north of the intersection of Press Road the vehicle left the road after failing to negotiate a bend in the road and struck a tree.

A passenger in the vehicle, a 58-year-old man from Orelia, died at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle, a 24-year-old woman from Orelia who holds a Leaner’s Permit, and a second passenger, a 21-year-old man from Toodyay, were both taken by St John Ambulance to Bridgetown Hospital. Their injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
