Council will apply for an $80,000 grant to stage a contemporary music event at Tanks Arts Centre.
Funding is being sought through the Arts Queensland’s Live Music Australia Support Program to deliver a series of shows at Tanks to help the recovery of the local arts sector.
The arts sector has been regarded as one of the industries hardest hit by the COVID-19 crisis and it is hoped the proposed shows will help reengage regional artists, employ regional arts workers and technicians, and provide important audience participation.
