Police are investigating the grievous bodily harm of a man at Woodridge in the early hours of this morning.
Around 2.00am, police were called to Blackwood Road with a report a man had assaulted another man using a hockey-stick in a driveway.
Police attended the location where they located a 35-year-old Bardon man suffering serious head and chest injuries.
Paramedics transported the man to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Investigations are ongoing.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed or has any information in relation to the assault, to come forward.
