Pro Vice Chancellor (Business) Professor David Grant said the Griffith online MBA was ranked fourth in Australia and 16th globally.

“Ranking 4th in Australia and maintaining our Global Tier One position for another year is fantastic recognition of the Griffith MBA, which reflects the evolution of business strategy toward core values in sustainable business practices, responsible leadership and an Asia-Pacific perspective,” Professor Grant said.

“The Griffith MBA is for the business leader looking to develop their critical thinking skills and identify new solutions that will succeed in today’s environment, simultaneously improving the world around us.

“CEO Magazine’s Global MBA Rankings are an important fact-based tool to measure MBA offerings around the world, in what is an increasingly congested market.

“Achieving the Tier One ranking for another year offers real assurance that a Griffith MBA is the choice for leaders who want to make game changing decisions in the modern business environment.

“It will help you take the next step in your career-whether that is towards executive management in the public or private sector, or towards taking your own business to the next level.”

Associate Professor Stephanie Schleimer

Griffith MBA Program Director Associate Professor Stephanie Schleimer was thrilled with the CEO Magazine ranking result.

“We believe the MBA of the 21st century must be built on values because being responsible, ethical, transparent and sustainable is the norm for business in the future and we work very hard to deliver a program that focuses on these values,” she said.

“We aim to teach students how to turn common good practices into innovative, strategic practices that set their businesses apart.

“We focus on teaching how to become leaders through strategic thinking and acting when it comes to responsibility and sustainability.

“We understand our students are incredibly busy in their professional and personal lives so our ‘fully flexible’ MBA aims to create a rich and meaningful learning journey with maximum flexibility.”

The number one factor used by CEO Magazine to rank the 2020 MBAs was Quality of Faculty (34.95%) but other metrics, in order of importance, included International Diversity, Accreditation, Faculty to Student Ratio, Price, International Exposure, Work Experience, Professional Development and Gender Parity.

CEO Magazine has released its annual Global MBA rankings each year since 2012 and in 2020 reached out to 161 schools across North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand, representing the largest number of schools that have participated to date.

It’s the latest in a number of commendations for the Griffith MBA and follows the 2019 Corporate Knights Top 40 Better World MBA Ranking in which Griffith was ranked fifth globally and first in Australia and the 2019 AFR BOSS MBA Rankings which awarded Griffith fifth position in the country.
