The possibilities for adventures in faraway places for young readers is endless with Children’s Book Week just around the corner.
Get ready for an enchanting journey into the realm of imagination as Kempsey Shire Libraries gear up to celebrate Children’s Book Week this August.
Kicking off their annual Children’s Book Week competition, Kempsey Shire Libraries invites young readers to unleash their creativity. Participants can choose between two formats: crafting a captivating short story or illustrating a vivid picture.
What’s the challenge? Imagine you are given a magical seed to care for. How will you care for your magical seed? What will it grow into? What does your seed look like? How long will it take to grow?
This exciting opportunity is open to all primary and secondary students, with no entry fee. Each student may submit one entry per format, allowing them to showcase their imagination and storytelling prowess.
The competition is on now and will close on the last day of book week, Friday 25 August.
Entry forms are conveniently available at any of the Kempsey Shire Libraries branches, including Kempsey, South West Rocks, and Stuarts Point. Simply visit your nearest branch to pick up an entry form and let your creative journey begin! Once completed, don’t forget to return your entry a library branch.
