Half a million dollars’ worth of cannabis seized in vehicle intercept at Winton, QLD

Police have charged two men with dangerous drug offences at Winton on 7 November.

Around 6.30pm, police intercepted a white campervan along the Landsborough Highway outside of Winton.

A search of the vehicle uncovered a large quantity of cannabis with an approximate street value of around half a million dollars.

The two men, aged 42 and 52, both from New South Wales, were charged with possessing and supplying dangerous drugs.

The 42-year-old man has been remanded in custody and due to reappear before Emerald Magistrates Court on 19 November.

The 52-year-old man from New South Wales has been remanded in custody and is due to reappear before Emerald Magistrates Court on 2 December.
