Have a Go Day shows Western Australians that age is no barrier

  • Long-running Have a Go Day returns to Burswood Park on November 14
  • Have a Go Day shows there are more activities, hobbies and events on offer for older Western Australians than ever before

The 26th edition of Have a Go Day hits Burswood Park on Wednesday (November 14) from 9am-3pm, offering a wide variety of hobbies, activities and events for over 45s.

The theme of this year’s event is ‘Age is no barrier’ – reminding older Western Australians that there are more activities, hobbies and events available to stay active and engaged than ever before.

The free event gives over 45s the chance to try their hand at a huge range of activities, encouraging people to keep participating in, and engaging with, their communities.

New activities this year include trishaws, walking football and laser pistol shooting, with entertainment acts such as the WA Police Pipe Band and country music artist Terry Bennetts.

The event is a highlight of Seniors Week, and provides a simple reminder that age is no barrier to being active and engaged in community events and activities.

Have a Go Day is co-ordinated by the Seniors Recreation Council and supported by the State Government.
