HAVE YOUR SAY ON A BOUNDARY AMENDMENT IN TAMWORTH LGA

NSW Department of Customer Service

The Geographical Names Board (GNB) is seeking community feedback on a proposal by Tamworth Regional Council to amend the suburb boundary between Warral and Hillvue.

A subdivision development resulted in several lots being split between the two suburbs of Warral and Hillvue with the proposed boundary amendment to deliver clarity for the local community and services including Australia post and emergency services.

The GNB is seeking feedback to gauge community sentiment for the proposed changes.

Details of the proposal can be viewed and submissions lodged on the Geographical Names Board’s website from 23 June until 23 July 2023.

Written submissions may be mailed to the Secretary, Geographical Names Board, 346 Panorama Ave, Bathurst, NSW 2795.

Quotes to be attributed to Chair of the Geographical Names Board Narelle Underwood:

“An important element of determining boundaries is endeavouring to meet the approval of affected residents and to reflect local usage.”

“We want to make sure everyone has an opportunity to provide their feedback on the proposal.”
