Hawkesbury Library Service – COVID-19 Operational Update Click and Collect at Richmond Branch Library

Richmond Branch Library will open from Monday, 29 June 2020 with limited hours to offer library members a Click & Collect service and limited public computer usage. Richmond Branch Library will be open from Monday to Friday from 9:30am to 2pm, Saturday 9am to 1pm.

Hawkesbury Central Library in Windsor will also currently continue to offer a Click & Collect service to library members. Hawkesbury Central Library will also commence offering limited public computer usage from Monday, 29 June. Deerubbin Centre meeting rooms will also be available to hire from 29 June but with reduced capacity due to COVID-19 restrictions. Hawkesbury Central Library will be open limited hours Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm, Saturday from 9am to 1pm and Sunday from 2pm to 5pm.

Hawkesbury Library Service operates within current COVID-19 safety guidelines for physical distancing and gatherings for the safety of staff and community members, with limits of people allowed in the Library at any one time. Your cooperation in observing these guidelines is required and appreciated.

Click & Collect

Click & collect enables library members to borrow items from the library while complying with current health and safety directives. Click & Collect allows library members to pre-order items and collect during opening hours. Library members can reserve items online or over the phone on 4560 4460 during library opening hours. Contact the Library to arrange a suitable time to collect them.

Library members are also encouraged to use the wide range of online resources including eBooks, eMagazines, eAudio, children’s games and activities at www.hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au/library/elibrary

New library memberships – join online at https://aurora.hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au/library/Join.aspx and call the Library to complete your membership – you will be issued with an online only membership, which can be upgraded to a full membership upon showing ID at Hawkesbury Central Library.

Returning library items

The library return chutes remain available at both branches. All returned items will be quarantined for a minimum of 48 hours before being available for loan.

Service update

Limited public access computers will be available from Monday, 29 June however WIFI will not be available. Library members will be able to photocopy, scan from a USB and print from their own device (by online webprint).

Public access to newspapers and public WiFi is not currently available.

Study rooms, desks and other seating spaces are not currently available.

The Justice of the Peace service is not currently available.
