Health care worker in court over sexual assault of patient, NSW

A health care professional will face court today charged over the alleged aggravated sexual assault of a patient at a health clinic in Sydney’s south-west.

About 3pm on Friday 3 April 2020, a 50-year-old woman attended a medical clinic in Chester Hill for an appointment.

Police will allege in court that a man, who was conducting a medical procedure on the woman, sexually and indecently assaulted her.

The woman left the clinic and reported the incident to officers from Bankstown Police Area Command, who commenced an investigation.

Following inquiries, investigators arrested a 40-year-old man at a unit complex in Northmead about 8.15am on Tuesday 7 April 2020.

He was taken to Parramatta Police Station, where he was charged with aggravated sex assault – victim under authority, and aggravated sexually touch another person.

The Northmead man was granted strict conditional bail and is due to appear at Parramatta Local Court today (Wednesday 24 June 2020).
