Help Renew Our Playgrounds

The Hills Shire Council will revitalise some of its most popular play spaces, and residents are being urged for their valuable input to make them truly spectacular.

Council is seeking feedback on several local playgrounds set to receive a well-deserved upgrade, including:

  • Bundara Way Reserve in Baulkham Hills
  • Gooden Drive Reserve in Baulkham Hills
  • McGilvray Place Reserve in Rouse Hill
  • Connie Lowe Reserve in Rouse Hill
  • William Harvey Reserve in Rouse Hill
  • Coolong Reserve in Castle Hill
  • Coorumbene Court Reserve in Bella Vista

“Our residents’ input matters, and together, we’ll create truly amazing spaces for The Hills community,” Mayor Gangemi said.

“Each playground offers different play opportunities – that’s why we need your help to decide what equipment, such as climbing structures, slides, and swings, will work best in your local playground.

“We are also exploring ways to enhance accessibility and upkeep of our playgrounds. We aim to make these spaces even more appealing for parkgoers and their little ones.

“I’m encouraging residents to fill out our quick and simple online form to share their ideas and preferences for these playground upgrades.”

The upgrades have been made possible through Council’s Playground Replacement Program, which ensures playgrounds are in good condition and meet safety standards.

The playgrounds identified for upgrade are classed as local playgrounds, which means these are smaller-scale parks located within walking distance of homes.

The final playground designs will be based on the budget available.

The feedback period is open until Thursday 17 August at 5pm. Visit Council’s website: www.thehills.nsw.gov.au and click on the ‘Have Your Say’ tab to participate.
