Homicide Squad detectives are seeking information regarding an incident in Henderson last night, Saturday 23 September 2023, in which a man was seriously injured.
About 9:25pm, St John WA requested police assistance at a residence in Henderson, where they were responding to a report of a man with multiple injuries.
Police attended the Cockburn Road residence, which is part of the group of Naval Base Shacks, and it was established the resident – a man aged in his 60s – had received multiple injuries consistent with stab wounds. He was taken by St John WA to Royal Perth Hospital with what are believed to be life-threatening injuries.
As part of the ongoing investigation, a man aged in his 50s was later arrested nearby, and he remains in custody at this time.
Due to the nature of the victim’s injuries, Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
