High volume of renewal and change of scope applications

ASQA has experienced a consistently high volume of registration renewal and change of scope applications, which we are anticipating will continue into early 2024.

To limit any delays, training providers should ensure their application is accurate and complete at the time of submission. This will allow the application to be assessed and processed without the need for us to request additional information.

Our response will always be proportionate to the level of assessed risk and particular circumstances that may mitigate or aggravate the matter. Applying this approach means some matters may take longer than the normal timeframe.

We will take all reasonable steps to ensure your matter is resolved within the target service standard set out in our Service Charter. If we are unable to deal with your application or query within our target timeframe, we will:

  • provide an interim response to inform you of our progress
  • review the progress of your matter and prioritise its resolution as quickly as possible
  • where necessary, escalate your matter for consideration and decision by the appropriate decision-maker within ASQA.

We are actively working to minimise delays, and are conscious of the impact on registered training providers as we introduce practices and digital enhancements to streamline our processing of applications.
