One of Western Australia’s best known brewing success stories will remain on tap at Optus Stadium, with Good Drinks Australia (GDA) securing a five-year extension to supply Gage Roads beer and cider at the venue.
The extended partnership supports the Cook Labor Government’s commitment to secure a future that is Made in WA; supporting Western Australian businesses, jobs and skills, making more things here, and keeping more economic benefits within the State.
Production of Gage Roads beer supports several local industries. From agriculture and logistics to manufacturing, distribution, and hospitality, GDA generates an estimated $147 million in annual economic activity in WA and employs almost 400 people across the State.
Since its appointment in 2017 by stadium operator VenuesLive, Gage Roads has been at the forefront of the venue’s uniquely Western Australian food and beverage offering, providing patrons with locally brewed products and exclusive releases tied to major events.
To celebrate Fremantle’s 2026 AFL Finals campaign, the Palmyra-based brewer has created Purple Reign, a limited-edition lager brewed using 100 per cent WA malted barley. Available on tap at Optus Stadium throughout the Finals, the beer’s distinctive natural purple hue will give fans another unique game day experience.
Fans can also take advantage of free public transport on the recently expanded METRONET, making travel to and from the stadium more affordable and accessible.
WA’s AFL Finals campaign set to be the biggest on record, and it is expected to be busy around the Perth CDB. Fans are encouraged to catch public transport, get to Optus Stadium early, and plan their journey at transperth.wa.gov.au or on the Transperth app.

“From travelling on WA-made trains and buses to enjoying a locally brewed beer at the game, fans are supporting local jobs and our government is proud to do the same.”
