Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding a woman’s death last night.
Investigators have been told a 79-year-old Creswick woman was located with life-threatening injuries at a Melbourne Road address shortly after 10pm.
The woman was air-lifted to hospital and died this morning from her injuries.
An 83-year-old man is currently in custody assisting detectives with their enquiries.
It is believed the parties were known to each other.
