How do you feel about public art?

MPSLogo_News.jpg

If you’ve ever seen one of our wall murals or the First Nations’ artwork on NBN nodes across our Peninsula or our Front Beach Back Beach public art project, you’re looking at and forming an opinion on some of our public art projects.

Freely accessible, Public Art is a reflection of our time and our community, it triggers conversations, and has the power to give us a daily brush with creativity and make our culture thrive.

How inspiring!

We want to know how you feel about public art. We’re updating our Public Art Policy and we need to know what you’d like to see? Where would you like to see it?

Start the conversation and share your inspiration between today Wednesday 8 March to Wednesday 19 April in our community consultation.

Quote attributable to Mayor Councillor Steve Holland:

“Whether you’re a spectator, participant, administrator, artist, resident or visitor – we want to hear from you about how we can continue to create meaningful and engaging public art on the Mornington Peninsula for everyone to experience.”

Quote attributable to Arts and Culture Advisory Representative Councillor David Gill:

“What better way to see art than to stumble across it when passing by. What public art would you like near where you locally work, play and travel? Let us know and we will try to provide art that is free and brightens your day.”
