West Australians will be able to see even more new releases and holiday blockbusters at HOYTS, with the four existing cinemas at Bunbury, Currambine, Warwick and Joondalup now rebranded as HOYTS.
HOYTS acquired the suite of cinemas after Grand Cinemas entered administration in November 2022.
HOYTS’ Director of Sales, Marketing and Content Stephanie Mills highlights how excited the team is to have saved these cinemas from permanent closure.
“We see cinema as having a critical role in the local community, forming such a big part of cultural development.
“We are pleased to be able to preserve the local communities’ access to big-screen cinema experiences as well as saving a number of jobs in the area,” she said. The good news for existing Grand Cinemas paid loyalty members is they will receive a free 12-month VIP membership (valued at $15) as a HOYTS Rewards VIP. For non- existing members, a special offer to join HOYTS Rewards VIP for just $9.90 is being offered until June 30, 2023. This offer is available in cinema only at HOYTS Bunbury, HOYTS Currambine, HOYTS Joondalup and HOYTS Warwick.
HOYTS Rewards VIP benefits include 25% off movie tickets, a saving of 10% on candy bar treats, free popcorn refills, birthday rewards, $9.50 tickets for members aged 60-plus and $11 movie of the week tickets. They can also earn double HOYTS Rewards points and Qantas points.
The rebranding comes just in time for West Australian school holidays, with plenty on offer for parents looking for ways to keep the kids happy. For littlies, there is Argonuts, an adventurous mouse off on a dangerous battle in Ancient Greece. Or, the much- anticipated animated feature, The Super Mario Bros. Movie, which sees Mario team up with his friends as he squares off against Bowser and his plans to conquer the world.
Coming soon for the adults, Mafia Mamma, a hilarious, action-packed comedy starring Toni Collette, a suburban American woman who inherits her grandfather’s Mafia empire. The rebrand promises the HOYTS offering of Experience More to its guests, with the
focus on making continued improvements to the guest experience, putting guests at the forefront.
2023 boasts an exciting slate of movies for the local communities to enjoy. In cinemas now, AIR and The Super Mario Bros. Coming soon, Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol 3 in cinemas from May 3 and Fast X in cinemas May 18.
