Kempsey Shire Council
Council are aware of the odour near the Bunya Pine tree in the Aldi car park and are monitoring the situation and working towards a resolution. The smell is caused by Australian White Ibises.
The Australian White Ibis is a protected native species under the Biodiversity Conservation Act 2016 and there are regulations to work through before Council can create an action plan to manage the impact these birds have on the urban environment.
