“Providing an inclusive workplace is very important to Infosys, where we enable world-class continuous learning and strive for diversity. The DCR program underscores our focus on enabling diverse talent to apply and join our team in Australia and be aware of workplace needs.”– Andrew Groth, Senior Vice President Infosys, Region Head Australia & New Zealand

Infosys’ commitment to enable an equitable workplace motivated them to gain recognition as a Disability Confident Recruiter (DCR). In November 2018, Infosys announced their target of hiring 1200 additional staff in Australia, 40% of whom will be graduates. AND’s DCR program is helping Infosys nurture an inclusive workplace and address their additional hiring goals by the end of 2020.

“Being recognised as a Disability Confident Recruiter is important in our continuous journey of enabling an inclusive workplace and community. As an example, we have been hiring Neurodiverse talent for several years in Australia. As we hire additional staff in Australia, we continue to engage talent along with our partners. Our close working relationship with the Australian Network on Disability means that Infosys is an active contributor to building a more equitable community in Australia.” – Rajesh Ahuja – Vice President Infosys & Global Head Talent Acquisition

Infosys found the program to be a valuable learning exercise for all teams across the organisation. They enhanced their policies, processes and practices, better enabling their recruitment and workplace outcomes with hands-on support and continuous feedback from AND.

The DCR program gave Infosys new insights into the steps required to build an accessible and inclusive workplace for current and future employees with disability. Infosys are now focusing on their Workplace Adjustments Framework and are close to reaching their employment goals.
