The Crisafulli Government is backing Queenslanders with big ideas, supporting events that will help turn home-grown innovation into new jobs, new industries and economic growth across the State.
Eleven innovation-focused organisations will share in $270,445 through the Crisafulli Government’s new Innovation Events Fund to deliver events that highlight emerging technologies, strengthen industry connections and support Queensland innovators.
After a decade of decline under the former Labor Government, the Crisafulli Government is delivering a fresh start for Queensland by investing in innovation, developing Queensland talent and creating opportunities for future jobs and economic growth.
The events include conferences, summits, hackathons and showcases that help people build skills, grow networks and connect with investors, industry and community leaders.
The funding will support collaboration, encourage investment and help turn great ideas into practical solutions that benefit communities and industries across Queensland.
Funded events include a deep-tech investment summit on the Sunshine Coast, a defence-focused hackathon in Brisbane, an agritech showcase in Bundaberg, a tourism innovation summit in the Torres Strait and youth entrepreneurship programs across multiple regions.

Minister for Science and Innovation Andrew Powell said Queensland had the talent, ideas and ambition to lead the next generation of innovation.
“Great ideas can come from anywhere, and we want to make sure Queenslanders have every opportunity to turn those ideas into success stories,” Minister Powell said.
“These events bring together innovators, entrepreneurs, investors and industry to create new opportunities, solve real-world challenges and help grow Queensland’s economy.
“We’re giving Queensland innovators the support and connections they need to turn good ideas into successful businesses, new technologies and future jobs.
“Innovation is one of the strongest economic drivers we have, returning more than three dollars to the economy for every dollar invested.
“With the world’s eyes on Queensland ahead of the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, now is the time to showcase our talent, attract investment and make sure the next big idea is built right here in Queensland.”
