No one is perfect – but when you’re informed that the language or behaviour you’ve used is unacceptable it’s up to you to do better.
So, it is galling that the Premier has decided to ignore clear advice that his behaviour towards people with a disability was inappropriate.
People With Disability Australia has called out Rockliff for an offensive post that was “ill-informed and inappropriate”.
Instead of acknowledging he went too far he decided that he was the judge of what was inappropriate – not people with a disability.
This is the same Premier who was forced to admit his government did no consultation with the disability community before slashing bus services.
He clearly has no idea and clearly does not give a stuff about Tasmanians with a disability.
Today is the Premiers last chance to “do better” and fix his mistakes.
