International Scholarships for Pacific Island Nations Nurses

Australian College of Nursing

The Australian College of Nursing (ACN) is further strengthening its links with the nursing profession in the Pacific with a new scholarship program.

ACN CEO, Adjunct Professor Kylie Ward FACN, said today that the ACN Foundation is offering two international scholarships for nursing leaders from Pacific Island Nations to participate in ACN’s Institute of Leadership Nurse Executive Program.

“ACN has been working closely with our Pacific Islands nursing colleagues for more than five years,” Adjunct Professor Ward said.

“We have been providing Graduate Certificates with the assistance of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS).

“These new scholarships – worth $15,000 each – will build even closer links between the nursing profession in Australia and nurses from the 16 Pacific Island Nations,” Adjunct Professor Ward said.

ACN is working closely with Pacific Islands nursing groups to encourage applications.

Applications close on 25 July.

All applicants seeking to participate in this program are required to meet the following selection criteria:
