Intruder arrested at Gulfview Heights, South Australia

A Paralowie man has been arrested after he forced his way into a Gulfview Heights home overnight.

Just before midnight on Sunday 12 January, a home owner in Kara Crescent, called police after a man came to the front door and started ringing their doorbell and refused to leave.

While police patrols were on their way to the address, the man not known to the home owners, jumped a fence and entered the home via a rear door.

When police arrived the intruder was found in the lounge room of the house confronting the occupants.

The 29-year-old man from Paralowie was promptly arrested and charged with aggravated serious criminal trespass and being on premises without lawful excuse.

He has been bailed to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court at a later date.

The motive behind the incident is being investigated.
