Investigation commenced after robbery, NSW

Police are investigating the robbery of a man in Sydney’s north-west overnight.

About 10.30pm (Saturday 15 May 2021), a man was at home on Quintana Avenue, Baulkham Hills, with his family when the power went out.

The 31-year-old man went outside to the electrical box when he was approached by two men, wearing balaclavas.

The men, armed with a baseball bat, struck the occupant over the head, causing him to fall to the ground, where he was struck a number of times to the head and body.

The injured man’s mobile phone was stolen before the two men fled on foot, heading west on Quintana Avenue.

Police were notified and officers from The Hills attended and commenced an investigation.

The man was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics and taken to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition with head and facial injuries.

As inquires continue police would like to speak to two men who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

They have been described as being under 180cm tall, of slim build and were wearing grey hooded jumpers and face coverings.
