Investigation continues into hit and run crash

Officers from the Major Crash Investigation Section continue to investigate a hit and run crash that occurred in Willetton on Tuesday 27 June 2023 and seeking the public’s assistance for information.

About 8.30am, a 12-year-old girl attempted to cross a pedestrian crossing on Pinetree Gully Road when she was struck by a white Suzuki Baleno hatchback. She sustained serious injuries in the crash and was conveyed by ambulance to hospital for medical treatment.

The driver of the Baleno failed to stop and was last seen travelling along Pinetree Gully Road towards Burrendah Boulevard.

During their investigation, Major Crash Investigation officers identified the Suzuki Baleno hatchback was seen on Pinetree Gully Road near the intersection of South Street prior to the crash. The vehicle was also seen travelling on Pinetree Gully Road, north of the intersection with Burrendah Boulevard and was last seen on Panamuna Road and was last seen near the intersection of Vahland Avenue.
