An investigation is underway after a woman’s body was found inside a vehicle in Sydney’s south yesterday.
About 5:15pm yesterday (Tuesday 5 November 2024), emergency services were called to Durham Street, Hurstville, following reports of a concern for welfare.
Officers attached to St George Police Area Command attended and found a woman deceased in the passenger seat of a vehicle.
The woman is yet to be formally identified but is believed to be aged in her 40s.
Police established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Following inquiries, a 46-year-old man was arrested at short time later at a home.
He was taken to St George Police Station and has been charged with contravene prohibition/restriction in AVO (domestic) take and drive conveyance without consent of owner, Drive whilst Disqualified second offence and breach of bail.
The man was refused bail and appeared at Sutherland Local Court today (Wednesday 6 November 2024), where he was refused bail to reappear at the same court on Tuesday 19 November 2024.
