A crime scene has been established following a shooting at Parkes this afternoon.
Just before 5pm (Monday 24 June 2019), emergency services were called to Porter Street after receiving information a man had been shot.
The man was taken to Parkes Hospital in a critical condition and died.
Another man, aged 18, was arrested at the scene and taken to Parkes Police Station and is currently assisting police with inquiries.
An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident are currently underway.
