The Threatened Species Scientific Committee is seeking comments on the assessment of Pezoporus occidentalis (night parrot). The reassessment of this iconic species follows its rediscovery in Queensland and Western Australia, and reflects the latest data being obtained through extensive surveys undertaken across the country. Any comments received relevant to the survival of the species will be considered by the Committee as part of the assessment.
The public consultation period will be open until 4 June 2024.
