It’s all child’s play at Ballarat’s Biggest Playgroup

Ballarat’s Biggest Playgroup is back for a fun-filled day of music, storytime, art and craft, sensory play, baby play, and indoor and outdoor activities (weather permitting) on Wednesday 20 November, from 10am-12pm, at Alfred Deakin Place, behind the Art Gallery of Ballarat.

This free annual City of Ballarat event is this year being held on United Nations’ Universal Children’s Day. United Nations’ Universal Children’s Day is celebrated on 20 November each year to promote international togetherness, awareness among children worldwide and improving children’s welfare.

Babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers will join their parents, grandparents and carers for this much-loved event.

The event helps children and their carers become connected with each other and their community, grow their skills and have fun!

Through playgroups, children have fun, learn through play, develop important mental, physical, emotional and social skills, and enjoy a range of fun activities from drawing, sand and water play, playdough and craft to singing, stories and excursions.

Children and families will also love the free exhibitions now on at the Gallery – Troy Emery’s After the Gold Rush and Dark Horse: Wild Beasts and Curious Creatures.

Come and join us and discover what is happening with playgroups and early years services in Ballarat and connect with the community.

The City of Ballarat’s Supported Playgroup Team Leader can help people find Supported Playgroups (for eligible families) and Playgroup Victoria can help to find or create a community playgroup.
