JACET Charges – Malak

Northern Territory Police have charged a 30-year-old man with child exploitation offences.

Yesterday, The Joint Anti-Child Exploitation Team (JACET) executed a search warrant on the man’s residence in Malak.

A mobile device was located on his person that is alleged to contain child abuse material.

The man was arrested and later charged with:

  • Fail to comply
  • Possess or control child abuse material
  • Use carriage service for child abuse material x 3

He was remanded to appear in Darwin Local Court today.

Detective Senior Sergeant Matt Akers said “Northern Territory Police and the JACET will continue to target offenders committing these revolting crimes. This type of offending is unacceptable and if you are committing these crimes, you will be caught.”
