The Andrews Labor Government has tried to gag Hamilton Base Hospital after posting a social media video calling for funding to fix its crumbling Emergency Department and ICU ward.
Western District Health Service posted the video to their Facebook last night, with staff describing the current facilities as not fit for purpose, ill-equipped and a risk to both patients and staff.
CEO of Western District Health Service, Rohan Fitzgerald explained on 3AW earlier this morning that he received a call from the Department of Health shortly after, “saying that we need to pull the video from the Facebook site”.
No government should ever politicise the needs of our hard-working healthcare staff. It demonstrates just how far the Andrews Government will go to gag those speaking out on the failures within Victoria’s health system.
It’s clear that years of underinvestment and mismanagement under Labor are having real impacts on Victorians who need and deliver vital healthcare services.
Victoria cannot afford four more years of mismanagement and neglect under Daniel Andrews. Only the Liberals and Nationals will fix the health crisis and build the health system for the future.
