Labor’s assertions about Incident Management Teams are blatantly wrong.
There was no IMT established in Scamander because the fire did not warrant one.
A fully staffed IMT was established at Cambridge to control numerous fires in the Central Highlands and Derwent Valley.
We also had Regional Operational Centres in the North and South in addition to the State Operations Centre, which was also stood up.
Despite relentless fearmongering from the Labor party, I can assure Tasmanians that the state is well prepared for bushfires.
Tasmania has over 5,600 firefighters including 130 remote area firefighters on standby, and a total of 160 remote area firefighters will be available from December 1.
Labor need to stop their lies.
