What plans does
Council have to try and reinvigorate Labuan Square? Does the square have a
future as a shopping mall in view of the success of the nearby Corio Village
Shopping Centre?
The City is responsible for the open space that runs through the middle
of Labuan Square. The shops are privately owned.
We are aware the shopping complex has become less frequented in recent
years, which is impacting the appeal of the area.
The City is currently considering options to improve the complex,
specifically the open space between the shops.
